A “Raffle of Turkeys” trotting under the pergola. I occasionally hear these birds and see their tracks in our garden, but only have sighted them once. Twelve birds convened for a feast of shelled corn in February 2007.
I laughed when I saw the turkeys. For some reason, I was expecting statues. They are quite ornamental, aren’t they?

Ornamental and freaky…I had no idea that they were so large and dinosaur-like. I had visions of Jurassic Park as they peered in the kitchen door…
